Former Beeston star and Olympic Gold Medalist, Hollie Webb, set to appear on BBC Children In Need Does Strictly!

She’s a former Beeston HC player and the Great Britain star whose cool head under pressure helped fire the GB Hockey girls to gold at Rio this summer but now defender Hollie Webb will swap the glare of the floodlights and the hockey turf for the spotlights and the dance floor as she appears on BBC Children In Need Does Strictly.
Joined by fellow Olympians rower Helen Glover, canoeist Joe Clarke and taekwondo Lutalo Muhammad, Hollie will be partnered by Neil Jones on the show.
An excited Webb told the BBC: “I was absolutely overjoyed when I took the call about the Strictly Children in Need Special but then, a minute later, I wondered what I’d let myself in for!” “First and foremost, it’s for a wonderful cause and I was honoured to be asked, I really was. Most of all, I hope to proudly represent Children in Need, Team GB and my sport. Myself and my family are massive Strictly fans and we can’t wait!”
Webb’s announcement has already drawn support across social media with many hockey fans wishing her luck. Ore Oduba, the BBC presenter currently wowing the crowds on Strictly every week is a hockey fan and welcomed Webb and her rivals to the show:

BBC Children In Need Does Strictly will be on BBC1 on Friday, November 18 and we are sure Hollie will show us all her nerves of steel working in harmony with her twinkle toes!
