Ladies 2s
Saturday saw the Ladies’ 2s at home to face Northampton, who just dropped down into Midlands Prem. Continuing in similar vein to last season, the ladies fought back from a half time 0-1 score line to win 4-1, with all four goals scored by different players.

Ladies 3s
In the first game of the season, a very junior 3s team faced Beeston 4s. The 3s went out with intent and started strong with 2 goals early on. With communication and confidence developing throughout, the 3s were 4-0 at half time. In the second half, a further 5 goals were scored, with goals from Charlotte & Georgina Mablethorpe, Jenna White, Phoebe O’Hara, Esme Thompson & Fran Stonier. The 3s were very lucky not to concede as the 4s fought back hard, but just couldn’t find the back of the goal.

Ladies 5s
Ladies’ 5s were at home with a young side to Nottingham Players Ladies 2s. After an end to end first half, Beeston were down 0-1. A change in formation and a considered team talk saw the 5s dominate possession. Unfortunately, it was the opposition who made the most of their opportunities in front of goal and the game finished 0-3, despite the efforts of young goal keeper Tia Powell.

The Ladies’ 6s battled hard in their 1-0 loss to West Bridgford 4. A close game with some excellent movement of the ball and continued resilience of the Beeston defence, the 6s were unlucky not to come away with points.
