We are delighted to be hosting our preseason tournament for the second consecutive year, at Nottingham Hockey Centre on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September.
The tournament will include a number of top quality clubs from across the UK and we can’t wait to welcome everyone.

Nottingham based independent insurance broker, Russell Scanlan has, once again, stepped in to support Beeston Hockey Club’s preseason National League women’s and men’s tournaments.
The £1000 sponsorship will allow the club to offer prize money and trophies for the four winning teams.
The format of the competitions will be a round robin and the winners of each division will receive £200 and a winner’s trophy.
David Griffiths, Deputy Chairman, commented: “We are delighted to see the return of our preseason tournament, especially following the success of the event last season. The tournament provided a great weekend of preparation for men’s and ladies’ National League teams from across the UK and should provide ideal preparation for the season ahead. We’re thrilled to have the support of the National Programme Umpiring Association to provide high quality officiating at the tournament. Russell Scanlan, who historically supported local charities and sporting organisations in Nottingham were a huge part of making the tournament a success last season and we are delighted to have them on board, supporting the event for another year.”

The Beeston Hockey Club Work • Train • Play Scheme is designed to:
- Allow National League level players the opportunity to continue to play at the top level of English hockey whilst also pursuing a career path that will set them up for life beyond hockey.
- Provide the opportunity to continue to play in any adult team in the club whilst also pursuing a career path that will set them up for life beyond hockey.
- Maintain the club’s long tradition of giving talented young players a pathway into international hockey whilst also setting them up with a higher education qualification or providing a great opportunity to develop invaluable experience for life after hockey.
