The FHP Bees took on Brooklands on Sunday 12th March at Nottingham Hockey Centre.
Brooklands won the first penalty corner of the game in the 7th minute which was charged down by the Beeston defence and a second penalty corner was awarded. Beeston goalkeeper, Simon Hujwan made a low save to deny Brooklands a goal.
Joe Sharp had the Bees first strike of the game but the ball sailed over the cross bar. The Bees picked up their first penalty corner of the after a bad stick tackle inside the the 23 metre line. Brooklands goalkeeper, Chris Scott, made a fine full stretch save.
The Bees were awarded another penalty corner moments later which Ollie Willars fired in to the Brooklands net, above the backboard, and the goal was disallowed.
In the second half Joe Sharp had a couple of shots on goal for the Bees which were saved by Chris Scott in the Brooklands net.
Both teams had a number of penalty corners and chances to score but neither team could break the deadlock and the final score was 0-0.
The game was streamed on Facebook Live and 2000 people tuned in to watch.
Beeston play Holcombe away on the 19th March at 1:30pm and then face East Grinstead at home on the 26th March at 2pm in the last game of the season.
