England Hockey Men’s Premier League
Beeston 2 – 3 Wimbledon
Nottingham Hockey Centre – 4th February 2017 – 2:00pm
The FHP Bees returned to outdoor action after the winter break to face reigning Champions, Wimbledon, at Nottingham Hockey Centre.
Beeston took the lead in the 13th minute as Chris Proctor pounced on the ball at the far post nudging it over the line. Wimbledon’s Peter Millar levelled the score in the 26th minute with a well worked open play goal.
In the second half, Ollie Willars netted a penalty corner for the Bees after a creative routine. Two minutes later in the 49th minute Wimbledon levelled once again through former Beeston forward Chris Gregg.
It was Wimbledon who managed to finish off the game in the 66th minute as they took the lead for the first time in the match with a penalty corner goal by Nathanael Stewart.
We caught up with Ryley Wealth Management Man of the Match, Ollie Willars, and teammate, Chris Proctor after the match.
