Beeston Hockey Club Juniors

Season summary 2015-16

Following a change at the helm at Beeston Hockey Club at the start of this season we have seen many improvements that have been embraced by our members to make the club stronger and busier than ever. The club is thriving with more age-group training sessions on offer, more fixtures than ever before for the majority of our members, and a substantial waiting list of juniors who are wanting to join at all ages.

This year our junior members, aged 6 to 18 years, have successfully competed in many local matches, friendly and competitive, as well as Regional and National Championships for our older age-groups.  Our juniors have won a significant number of medals and trophies as a result of a great deal of hard work from coaches, managers, players and volunteers. Well done to every one of you who has played in a fixture or helped on the side-lines or behind the scenes. None of this could be achieved without the dedication of our managers, coaches, umpires, and volunteers, so thank you to every one of you.

The season started with the U16 and U18 boys and girls competing in the England Hockey Indoor Super 6’s competitions:

Well done to everyone who has been involved with making all this possible this season. Beeston HC thank you all, members, players, parents and volunteers for your continued support and we look forward to doing even better with our junior section next year.

In addition to Beeston club successes there are a significant number of our junior members who have been competing this season with their counties at JDC and JAC level. Congratulations to all those players who were selected for the final JAC Tournaments in each age-group this season. We would also like to congratulate all our players who have been invited to attend the U13 Elite coaching sessions, and for those who will soon hear about JRPC success – I believe these decisions are being made at the moment – well done to everyone who is invited to take part. We also have a significant number of our players who have been selected for HIPAC, Futures Cup and also invitations to represent England.

Beeston HC do not get notified of your individual successes outside of the club so please let the club know of your hockey achievements.

We are looking for team managers, coaches, umpires and volunteers to help next season to enable us to get more teams out to fixtures. Without your help this won’t be possible so if you think that you could step in and have a go to help the club move forward please contact Julie Airey (Junior Co-ordinator) via email junioradmin@beestonhockeyclub.com
