Ladies’ 2nd XI Coach (1st XI Assistant)

Beeston HC are seeking to appoint a ladies second team coach for the 2019/20 season and beyond as they embark on National League hockey for the first time.  The successful applicant would also form part of the 1stXI coaching staff working alongside Head Coach, Colin Clarke.
In 2018/19 the ladies finished a respectable 2nd place in the Midlands Premier League and are looking to consolidate and challenge in the new third tier of the Investec National League.
With a driven management team the club are looking for an individual who has dedication and a passion to develop both junior and senior hockey players.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience dealing with both junior and senior players, and an understanding of managing the workload of players involved in school, university and international programmes.
  • Experience coaching a team to a good standard
  • The ability to work alongside a 1stXI Head Coach and deliver on shared coaching vision
  • Knowledge of the modern game (knowledge of indoor hockey would be an advantage).
  • The ability to coach both technical and tactical considerations.
  • Effective communication with players, parents, coaches and management within the club.
  • Be able to use and provide effective coaching and feedback through video analysis
  • Hold a minimum of England Hockey Coach or Sessional Coach Award or UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification (or equivalent).

Men’s 2nd XI Coach 

Beeston HC are also seeking to appoint a men’s second team coach for the 2019/20 season. The men’s second team will take part in the Midlands Premier League in the 2019/20 season.
In 2018/19 the men finished a respectable 3rd place in the Midlands 1st Division League and are looking to gain promotion in the new third tier of the Men’s National League for the following season.
With a driven management team the club are looking for an individual who has dedication and a passion to develop both junior and senior hockey players.
