A select band of ‘highly experienced’ Old Bees agreed to a run out in the summer evening sun at Nottingham Hockey Centre and thoroughly enjoyed the six a side summer league.
Fielding an excellent mix of players new to the club, long serving stalwarts and even a father and son duo Doug & Nick King, we enjoyed 9 weeks of competitive hockey against many old friends both on the pitch and in the bar.
Results were mixed but we ended up second in our league and acknowledge the high standard set by the winners Sikh Union HC.
This has been an excellent way to keep the Old Bees ticking over ready for this years attack on the Masters over 40 HA Cup.
