As the weather is now starting to get colder there is potential for the hockey pitches to freeze, and training sessions and matches could possibly be cancelled.
If the pitches are frozen and training sessions and matches are cancelled you will need to check the following Internet locations. Please note: email and text messages will not be sent out to individual members so it is your responsibility to check before you travel.

Pitch inspections will normally be carried out at least one hour before the training session or match start time. You are advised to keep checking the Beeston Hockey Club website, Facebook and Twitter, after this time as late pitch inspections may be carried out to assess any improvement or deterioration in conditions.
As the weather is getting noticeably colder you are reminded to send your child with appropriate NAMED clothing for all weather conditions. Our younger members who train on a Sunday morning will be expected to have gloves, hats and a coat (ideally waterproof). Tracksuit bottoms or leggings are also a must as little legs can get very cold. Your child may refuse to wear these items but please send them with your child as our coaches are the ones who have to deal with the tears. It may also be sensible to send a little bit of money for hot chocolate if the coaches decide to have a break in the session.
For all our older players, please be sensible, being wet and cold at training and matches is not pleasant – make sure you are all appropriately clothed for the weather.
