Gareth Ikin has been appointed the club goalkeeper coach for the 2020/21 season. Gareth is the England O35 ladies’ head coach and former ladies’ head coach at Doncaster HC.
Gareth will be joining the men’s and ladies’ 1st XI management teams and will be coaching the goalkeepers in both squads. On match days, Gareth will be filming and tagging the games and will be giving input into the video analysis with the coaches.
Gareth is also advising and helping the club set up a new goalkeeping academy for juniors which will take place in the Easter and Summer holidays. He will also attend a number of men’s and ladies’ club training sessions throughout the season to provide specialist goalkeeper coaching to all the goalkeepers in the club.
