The Whirlowdale Bees gained promotion to the England Hockey Super 6’s Division 1 after a number of convincing performances in this years Division 2 indoor competition. 
The Bees topped the Division 2 north league with 5 wins from 5 at the new David Ross Sports Village at the University of Nottingham on the 7th and 8th January. The Bees scored an impressive 34 goals and conceded just 8.
The Bees then went on to play in the Division 2 national competition on the 21st and 22nd January where they also topped the league (with 4 wins and a draw) and gained promotion to next years Super 6’s Division 1.
Beeston captain, Sophie Robinson, commented, “We are delighted to gain promotion to Division 1 for next season. We have an extremely talented young squad who played some exceptional hockey over the 2 weekends. The whole squad will now be focused on the second half of the outdoor season and our aim is to secure a spot in the play-offs at the end of the season.”
