Beeston Hockey Club is proud to announce that Gareth Griffiths, captain of the Beeston Men’s 1st team, has been selected to represent Wales in the upcoming FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup. The tournament, set to take place in Odisha, India, will feature matches at the state-of-the-art stadiums in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, with sell out matches of over 20,000 spectators.
Wales will begin their campaign on January 13th at 11:30am GMT against England, followed by a match against Spain on January 15th at 11:30am GMT, and finally a match against the host nation, India, on January 19th at 13:30pm GMT.
The entire Beeston Hockey Club community wishes Gareth the best of luck as he represents Wales on the international stage. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to following his progress in the tournament.
