The club are delighted to welcome Ella Cusack and Cerys Miller to the Women’s squad this season. They will be joining the Ladies performance squad ahead of the new Premier Division season that is set to start in September. Both players join Beeston from Loughborough University where they have been part of their Premier Division squad.

Ella and Cerys have both been introduced to the squad and are ready to get fully involved in preseason. Ella, who plays in midfield has also featured for England U21s and was part of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme squad. Ella has also captained Loughborough Students in the Premier Division. Cerys adds to the Bee’s frontline for the coming season after a successful spell at Loughborough University where she has been part of their impressive rise over the last few years. Both players come with Premier Division experience and have experience of playing in big games, with both players having won BUCS Hockey Gold for Loughborough University.

Head Coach James Sordillo commented, “We’re really excited to welcome Cerys and Ella to the club. Both are really talented players but also really good people. I have spent time speaking with both of them and I have been really impressed with them and I have no doubt they are going to contribute to a lot on and off the pitch.”
After winning the England Hockey Cup Final last season, an achievement that was a first in the club’s history, the Women’s squad are looking to continue to develop and reach new heights.

We wish both Ella and Cerys the very best of luck for the coming season and future years with the club.

The Women’s 1st XI play in the English Vitality Premier Division and will start their season in September with all home games being streamed live on Bee TV. The Women’s 2nd XI will be playing in the England Hockey Midlands Conference and are only one of a handful of 2nd teams to be in the national league structure.
