Kai Aichinger has joined the club from Rot-Weiss Koln in Germany. Kai was part of the Rot-Weiss team who won gold in the Euro Hockey League final in 2017 beating Oranje-Rood and lifting the famous Alain Danet Trophy for the first time in the clubs history. He was also part of the team in 2019 when they reached the Euro Hockey League final once again, this time losing to Waterloo Ducks and collecting a silver medal.
The 24 year old defender is studying at Nottingham Trent University from September and will be playing for the Bees in the England Hockey Men’s Premier Division and the England Hockey Super 6’s Indoor competition. Beeston Head Coach, Mark Bateman, commented, “We are delighted that Kai has joined the Bees for this coming season. A player of his abilities and mindset coupled with his experience of consistent success aligns well with the new way forward at Beeston. We look forward to welcoming Kai to the club and he’ll be joining up with the squad for pre season. He will be a great role model for our developing players and form a vital part of our defensive line.”
The men begin their league campaign on Sunday 19th September with an away trip to Old Georgians HC in Weybridge, Surrey.

Thumbs up all round! The club welcome Kai and are looking forward to seeing him in black and gold next season
