The club are delighted to welcome Charlotte Harmer and Bea Bell to the Women’s squad this season. They will be joining the Ladies performance squad ahead of the new Premier Division season that is set to start in September.
Harmer, a defensive midfielder and a second year Nottingham Trent University student, joins Beeston from Division One North club Olton and West Warwickshire.
Bea Bell joins Beeston from Belgian club Arlon HC. A former England U16 player, Bell adds more depth to the Beeston defensive unit having excelled as a fullback at her previous club. Bell will also be studying at Nottingham Trent University.
Newly appointed Women’s 1st XI Head Coach, James Sordillo said, “We’re really pleased to be welcoming Charlotte and Bea to the club. Both come highly recommended and are really talented players. I’m pleased to continue the club’s tradition of attracting talented young players so and supporting them in their development. Having spent time speaking to both players, I’m really excited to see what they can bring to the team.”
Both players have already been involved in preseason planning as the squad begin their preparations ahead of a return to the pitch in August.
After winning the England Hockey Cup Final last season, an achievement that was a first in the club’s history, the Women’s squad are looking to continue to develop and reach new heights.
We wish both Charlotte and Bea the very best of luck for the coming season and future years with the club.
