The ladies’ first team will be competing in the England Hockey Premier League once again next season and the coaching will be led by first team head coach, Colin Clarke. The role of first team manager could be split to share the responsibility between two people; one person overseeing the match day duties and one person overseeing the administration.
The ladies’ second team will be competing in the Midlands Premier Division next season and the coaching will be led by James Sordillo once again.
Ladies’ 1st XI Manager/s
Responsibilities:
• Attend all executive meetings (6 per year)
• Maintain secure attendance records of all the players
• Keep the ‘club calendar’ up to date and communicate the dates with the players and executive committee
• Work with the directors to set and be responsible for the day to day running of the budget
• Inform all players of all training and selection/match details
• Ensure all squad members uphold the rules and regulations of the club and England Hockey
• Have a responsibility for young players welfare
• Arrange indoor hall bookings for training/friendlies etc with the directors
• Oversee fundraising – delegate responsibilities to players
• Communicate all pitch booking requirements with Nottingham Hockey Centre
• Confirm catering requirements 6 days before home matches with Nottingham Hockey Centre
• Complete the online umpire assessment after all national league matches
• Encourage all players to attend club social functions
• Work with the club directors on sourcing ball patrol for home games
• Work with the head coach on transfer activities and player recruitment
• Gather kit sizes from players and work with the club directors to place order
• Source hotel locations for pre-match lunch on specific away games
• Maintain a record on the number of appearances for each player
• Squad and fixture confirmation with the opposition
• Meet and great opposition, umpires and officials prior to all home fixtures
• Work with head coach to submit team sheet and relevant paperwork with delegate on match days
• Overall responsibility for the behaviour of the bench (team and coach) on match days
• Work with the head coach to manage substitutions on match days
Ladies’ 2nd XI Manager
Responsibilities:
• Maintain secure attendance records of all the players
