Rio Gold – the people, the place, the process
Former Beeston player and head coach, Craig Keegan, will be giving a presentation titled ‘The Rio Olympic Journey’ at the Belper Meadows Community Sports Club (DE56 1BA) on the evenings of Friday 7th February and Friday 20th March, starting at 7.30pm. (This is the same event as numbers will be limited on each night).
Craig Keegan, was the assistant Coach to the GB Ladies Hockey Team during the 4 year Rio cycle and the Olympic Games and will give a presentation regarding ‘Rio Gold – the people, the place, the process’ and there will be the opportunity to ask questions about how the squad prepared for the competition.
It is hoped that the evening will provide an insight into international hockey and prove an inspiration to adult and junior players alike, ahead of the Tokyo Olympics later this year.
This will be a ticketed event due to limitations on numbers and will be on a strict first come-first served basis, limited to 50 tickets at a price of £10 for adults and £5 for U18’s.
