On Sunday April 7th the U16 Boys travelled to Stone HC to take part in the EH Tier 2 Regional Finals. The boys were placed in a group with Timperley and Stone. They beat hosts Stone 2 – 0 with one goal in each half. Then beat Timperley 1-0, despite an outstanding performance from the opposition goalkeeper.
As a result, they qualified for the final where they faced Lichfield, drawing 1-1 in full-time. Beeston took first blood with a wonder strike from Ethan Smart on the reverse stick into the top right corner of the goal, only for Lichfield to reply almost instantly with another reverse stick belter. Beeston went on to win 4-2 on penalty stokes with Benjamin Powell making 2 saves and Beeston only missing 1.
