Maddie is now the current World Number One female goalkeeper and has over 100 caps for England and Great Britain. Maddie has a degree in Sport & Exercise Science from Loughborough University and currently plays for Dutch side Stichtsche, based in Utrecht.
Maddie is at the top of her game and has won numerous Goalkeeper of the Tournament Awards, as well as FIH Female Goalkeeper of the Year in 2016, after three previous nominations. Maddie continues to play a pivotal role in international tournaments, including England’s gold medal triumph at the EuroHockey Championships 2015 and Rio 2016, where she saved all four penalties to claim the historic gold for GB and Olympic Champion status.

After a successful launch in 2017 and more dates and locations than before in 2018, the MH1 camps are back for 2019 and coming to Nottingham Hockey Centre! Hitting even more dates and locations than before. They provide all age groups with an opportunity to learn key goalkeeping skills in a fun and safe environment. Each day, participants will spend time with Maddie and her team of expert goalkeeping coaches in a hockey masterclass to develop and hone core skills.
On launching the camps, Maddie Hinch said: “I wanted to create a hockey camp with a sole focus on goalkeeping skills. I want all ages and abilities to have the opportunity to learn and develop goalkeeping skills with some of the top coaches in the country. For me, seeing people pick up a stick and want to participate in hockey makes everything I do worthwhile.
I want to help other goalkeepers to achieve by pushing themselves to new levels and maximise their potential. MH1 coaching understands that the goalkeeper is still the most neglected position on the pitch and is providing a remedy to this problem with modern, world class, specific goalkeeper training. These camps are a celebration of goalkeeping and will offer participants the opportunity to collaborate with other goalkeeping enthusiasts to learn more about this specialist position. I will draw on my own experiences and the difficulties I have faced to deliver a truly unique coaching practice, driven by lots of passion and expertise in the sport. I hope that this is just the beginning of developing a recognised and leading brand of goalkeeping courses that can be rolled out across the country”
