With three games played and two games won – it was all down to the wire in the last game of the Boots summer league against West Bridgford who had also won both of there other two games…
The Bees went a goal down but didn’t give up and soon had one back scored by Emma Self after a flurrie of short corners for both teams and our very own Beth Starky catching a ball during a short to give away a flick – which goal keeper Abi Parker saved!
We were able to gain another penalty which Nat Bowman gracefully struck and pinged the backboard giving us the lead!
We managed to hang on for the last two minutes of the game continuing to attack and secure the win.
Well done and thanks to all who played in the team in the weeks before and those who played on the night. Well done for all your hard work and 100% effort in the super hot evenings…
