Beeston Hockey Club has strengthened relations with its fans by bringing the club’s official ICT provider and sponsors, Air-IT on board as their live broadcast partner for the 2017/18 season.
The new service is the first of its kind for the sport and will show all Beeston men’s home games using Facebook Live and Match Home Network, which was founded earlier this year and specialises in live sport streaming. Initially trialled at the men’s England Hockey cup quarter final back in May, the network has already attracted millions of viewers worldwide.
Match Home founder, George Constantine, commented, “We feel privileged to open our live streaming network with such a long-established hockey club such as Beeston. Beeston have a long history of innovation within the sport, and we hope that, along with the club and Air-IT, we can lead the game in quality live coverage.”
Beeston Director, David Griffiths, commented, “We have worked closely with Air-IT over the past few years and streaming matches is something we’ve both wanted to do. It’s a great way to give our sponsors further exposure and allow our fans and followers to watch games when they can’t make it down to the club.”
Air-IT first came on board at Beeston Hockey Club last season, when it agreed to provide IT and Communication services to the club, including indoor and pitch side Wi-Fi access for visitors. As one of the top Hockey venues in Europe and home to Olympian talent including Adam Dixon, Mark Gleghorne and Sam Ward, the facilities welcome thousands of local and international visitors every year.
Paul Judge, Marketing Director at Air-IT comments, “We’re proud to be associated with such a prestigious club that brings world-class hockey to Nottingham.
“The club has gone from strength to strength and has some exciting plans for the future, which is fantastic for the local sports community.
“As long-standing sponsors, our sponsorship has helped raise our profile locally and now internationally through our new role as live streaming partners which has helped us get in front of millions of viewers all over the world.”
In addition to Beeston Hockey Club, Air-IT are also supporting Nottingham Rugby Club and Notts County FC as sponsors and ICT partners this season.
