The FHP Bees travelled to Kent on Sunday to face Canterbury on a blustery and wet November afternoon. Canterbury had a number of chances in the first half and looked to be in charge of the game however, there were no goals in the first half. 
In the second half, Canterbury had a several chances in the first five minutes before the Bees went up a gear and took control of the game. The league’s top goalscorer, Mark Gleghorne, fired the Bees in to the lead in the 42nd minute from the penalty spot after the ball hit a Canterbury foot on the goal line.
Elliot Hibell increaed the lead in the 52nd minute and repeated the trick seven minutes later as he deflected home a left wing cross and secured a Beeston victory.
The win sees the Bees move up to fourth place in the Premier League.
Beeston and Great Britain international, Mark Gleghorne, commented “It’s being a thoroughly enjoyable first half of the season at the club and we are aiming for an even better second half. The young lads in the squad have been magnificent and are soaking up knowledge and improving every week”.
The Bees have now got a nine week break in the league season and begin the indoor hockey season in the new year.
