Last week three Beeston girls represented England at U21 level as they pushed for selection for the Junior World Cup later this year in Chile. Beeston trio Esme Burge (17), Eloise Stenner (19) and Rebekah Walker (21) played in the five nations tournament in Valencia, a warm-up event for the World Cup which included fixtures against India, Belgium, Spain and Germany.
The trio have been working hard to make the squad for a number of months now, and the five nations tournament represented the final phase of the selection process for the World Cup, with the squad announcement expected soon.
It was a mixed week for England as they started with a good 3-0 win over India, followed by defeats to Spain and Belgium and then finishing with a 2-2 draw with Germany.
The club wish the girls all the best as they await the announcement of the selection and we are very proud of their achievements in representing their country in the tournament in Valencia.
