Cup Holders begin defence of the Trophy

 

BEESTON  7-2  LEEK

Cup Holders, Beeston defeated Leek 7-2 at Repton to glid into the 3rd Round draw of the England Hockey Cup.

Simon Egerton hit a first half hat-trick of penalty corners and the Bees dispatched two more from Craig Boyne and Sam Dixon to lead 5-0 at the break.

Leek took control during a fifteen minute period after half time and pulled back the score line, with goals from Paul Dawson and Ben White.

The Bees increased the score in the 58th minute when Adam Dixon finished off a pass from Martin jones and Richard Lawrence drilled home from a penalty corner in the 70th minute.

Round 3 of the Cup takes place on Sunday 28th October. Beeston are drawn away to BOWDON.
